Accolades: In an article written about Coach Land and his program, the reporter described Land in this way: "When you talk to Land, you get an immediate sense of who he is and how he carries himself. Always plesant and direct, he's the kind of coach you would want your son or daughter to play for. His ego is nonexistent when it comes to coaching his team, and he always puts his players before anything. The best coaches are the ones who make statements one way or another, but in the case of Al Land, his statements come not with a hammer or a yell, but in calm signals and simple instrucitons, all from that upside down white bucket."
